    The marriott had a fantastic location, just a short walk to the train station and all the best shopping and christmas markets. The room was very spacious and clean, super comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, with plenty of options. The service at the executive lounge really stood out, especially how accommodating the staff were.

    We liked the hotel overall, excellent location -close to shopping and river Rhine, just few steps away to main train station ; staff at Marriott was great, very helpful and knowledgeable; Breakfast - plenty of choices as usual in Germany; they even made us French toast which was not on the menu; great room comfort;

    room was a bit dusty but staff was very prompt in cleaning it right away

    Central location really close to restaurant and the central train station and the bus/tram in Koln, it was in a very nice area. The room itself was well-kept and well decorated and had magnificent views of the cathedral off to the left.

    The location was amazing and the breakfast was large and vegan. Besides, excellent for visiting a renowned monument. A wide array of food at breakfast like breads and cheese.

    The location perfect and exceptionally nice for Altstadt-Nord district, it is next to the cathedral and the Christmas markets as well as main train station, cathedral and river 'Rhein'. Breads and cheese for breakfast are a plus.

    Location, interior appearance of the room, modern bathroom, big bright room, great staff, tea & coffee facilities, ironing board, easy excess with the pushchair, taxi stand just in front of the hotel

    Expensive breakfast. Also the windows were not soundproof at all. On the second floor we could hear people talking outside. Anyhow the street was very quiet at night.

    The rooms were newly decorated, bright and clean. Location is very good within 5 minutes from the main attractions and main shopping street.

    Stuff were very unfriendly and were not helpful once aske to prolong our stay for one more night. We have been told that the hotel has a very long waiting list instead of heling us out especially when the next morning once asked the hotel appeared to have free rooms but it was too late as my falimy has booked a different hotel 2 minutes down the road. Also internet in the hotel is very expencive 20 Eurous p/h and it very slow as well.

    I had a fantastic stay with a spacious room and the cleanliness was on point. The breakfast options were great, though I miss the innovative dishes from the past. Overall, I’d definitely return!

    comfort of the bed and large size of the room, location is very good next to the central station (you can see the whole center without transportation) and friendliness of the staff. I guess that's why and rest of the offer of the quality-price area we saw, compensated us for the choice, it's not that bad either. it's not even a 5-star rating.

    The air conditioning was practically not working, it was not cooling anything.. The hotel is quite old and although we stayed in the renovated part, it is too loose to be considered a 5-star hotel: the decoration in general, the facilities, carpets and curtains quite old and with that medium smell of "rancid" unpleasant, endless corridors to reach the rooms (unless you touch next to the few elevators that are), accessibility to go with bags is not too good, I do not want to imagine if you have reduced mobility... I expected more in general.
